Hello everyone, we’re very happy to announce the launch of a new Docs page for Topaz Photo AI and Video AI.
Our beta testers have been a crucial part of our work to improve the quality and performance of our apps, and we look forward to the detailed feedback we receive in each week’s release. These pages are just the start of our efforts to make using the Topaz apps an easy and engaging experience for our customers.
We welcome any feedback and suggestions on how to improve this new section of our webpage, and we will be keeping our users and beta testers involved in future updates.

I assume this is a misspelling.
On this page (System Requirements | Topaz Labs) it says the recommended GPU for Windows Nvidia users is a GTX 3000
series GPU. I believe this is supposed to be RTX 3000

There is some confusing wording on this page: Presets | Topaz Labs
We do not recommend using Apollo when working with a factor of 4x or slower.
and
For speeds above 4x, we recommend using Apollo.
Since we are working with slow mo, the definition of speed goes a bit weird.
I personally interpret these sentences as a recommendation to not use Apollo for greater than 4x slow-mo (E.G. 8x slow-mo). And to use Apollo for less than 4x slow-mo (E.G. 2x slow-mo)
I think they should be replaced with something similar to this:
We do not recommend using Apollo when working with a factor of 4x or lower.
and
For factors of 4x or higher, we recommend using Apollo.

This page, in the Frame Interpolation Section
talks about a Reduce Duplicate Frames
option. But TVAI has a Replace Duplicate Frames
options. Either the GUI or website will need to be updated.
Also, in the Frame Interpolation -> Apollo
section, it says: Generate 8 interpolated frames per run.
- First up, it should be
Generates
not Generate
- This may be confusing for some people. For example, I am converting from 30fps to 60fps footage, it only needs to generate 1 frames. Why are 8 being generated? Questions like that. It needs to be better explained in the documentation. (P.S. I do know what this means, 8 frames are always generated, but excess frames are discarded, but that needs to be explained.)
Also, in the Frame Interpolation -> Chronos
section, it says: Recommended for slow motion beyond 8x, or smaller than 4x, or FPS conversion.
Based on that description, it seems it’s recommended to use Chronos for basically everything frame rate interpolation related.
Also, in the Frame Interpolation -> Chronos
section, it says: Processing speed increases linearly with the number of generated frames.
Instead it should say Processing speed decreases linearly with the number of generated frames
Also, the Add Noise
option isn’t described on this page.
In the Enhancements -> Gaia
section it says: Improves already high-quality (HQ) and computer-generated (CG) files.
What specifically about the CG variant of Gaia makes it better suited for CG? Does it handle Aliasing better? Something else? I think this should probably be explained in the documentation.

On this page in the Apple ProRes Encoders -> ProRes 4444 XQ
it says: Can be used on OS 12.0 and later with TVAI.
This should probably say macOS 12.0
rather than just OS 12.0
In the same section, it also says Not available on Windows machines.
- I think this should be changed to Only available on macOS
. It means you don’t have to update the documentation if you start to officially support Linux or other OS’s.

Thanks for your detailed edits! We will be updating these documents ahead of the 3.2.1 release.
