Alternatives to Topaz Video AI

I browsed through some cutting edge frame interpolation research and did a bit of experimenting, and I’m glad that Apollo is already outdated. This is not surprising, since Topaz has been stagnating in this field for two years, and unfortunately, turning research results into commercial products is still quite a ways off.

It’s still the best option that I’ve seen. Hardly outdated. Of course it also depends on what you want to interpolate. RIFE is better for cartoons—but those should never be interpolated since that ruins a lot of the intentional animation. If you’re hoping to interpolate 4K, Aion gives about the same results as Apollo but works on 4K and is slower.

Well, this Summer’s Ai, ect. venues has an extreme solid answer to TL, sort of, monopoly in the very near future! Just hold on!
