Alert | "Recover 3 is not supported on this system"

I’m getting this message when I’m using Gigapixel 1.1.3. I’m batch editing 46 PNG images using the Standard preset with Face Recovery, no other things turned on, using local processing.

This error is telling me to go back in time to an old OS…that’s not a practical solution for anyone. When will Topaz Gigapixel support macOS Tahoe? When I click Try a Different Model, it doesn’t let me pick a model, it just keeps going.

At the end when all the batch processing is over, I see two images that show “Low Resolution” as the AI model.

Since 44 of the 46 images ran without issue, why would I get an error on two of the images? This error message doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

Recover 3 is not supported on this system*
Recover 3 is not currently supported on M1 Macs running your version of macOS. To use Recover 3 locally, please use macOS 15 on an M1 device. In the meantime, you can use Cloud Rendering or choose a different model.*

Hello!

I also have an M1 Mac with macOS 26. In v1.1.3 I check the box for “Don’t show again” and as long as I do not select Recover 3 as the model, the alert doesn’t appear any more.

If you continue to see the alert appearing despite checking the box for “Don’t show again,” I’d recommend deleting your preferences (.plist) and rerunning the v1.1.3 installer as a repair.

The reasons for macOS 26 not supporting Recover 3 are still under investigation.

Let me know if you have more questions. :folded_hands:

Thank you for the response. I appreciate it, and I will take those steps next time. macOS Tahoe has been out for long enough now that I’m a little surprised this is still something under investigation. I hope the root cause can be discovered soon.
