Aion: Best model for motion 24fps to 60 or 120 NO slow motion, but why doesn't it utilize gpu well?

Why doe aion barely use my cpu and gpu? It’s the best motion for 24fps movie to Higher frame rates by far so it would be nice if it leveraged the gpu better. It takes twice as long as the other models because my gpu usage is WAY lower compared to apollo and chronos.

Action sequences look incredible at 120fps with aion. A tv’s motion smoothing has trouble interpolating fast moving action sequences. Venom with the scene with drones chasing him was absolutely incredible with aion.

Chronos is just as smooth, but has way more artifacts than aion. Aion only has a bit of wobbling type artifacts once in a while and is much smoother than apollo.

What are you using to view the GPU usage on your system when running a video through with Aion?

The task manager can be incorrect when showing actual usage, we recommend using GPU-Zif you are not already. I just ran a quick test in v1.0.4 and here are the results with a 5060Ti.

Gpu z was tested and the card goes from 6 percent usage to 93 percent fluncuating wildly and rapidly. Wattage and usage flunctuating.

Other models like chronos fast just stay at 98 percent usage. You can see in your picture only 3 percent gpu load.

That’s what I mean when I said it doesn’t really use the gpu totally. Is there a reason for this Kyle? Thanks.

Fluctuating results can be expected as the model processes frames of the video.

In my reference image, the process had completed by the time I grabbed that screenshot, but the red usage before that was the model running on a video file.
