Using my MacBook Pro, with Radeon Pro 560X 4 GB
Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB. Since upgrading to 2.0 the processing time has tripled. I used to use Photo AI on most photos, but now I am hesitant to use it at all. When I have MANY photos to process the time it takes is prohibitive. Anyone else have this problem or a solution? Thanks,.
Thanks for reaching out. Please open Topaz Photo AI, go to the menu bar on the top and click the Help > Open Log Folder menu option. Attach the logs to your reply so I can check the contents.
It sounds like your installation may be missing model files, you can run the installer to try downloading the rest if you are missing any.
Thanks. I used Auto, CPU, and my AMD Radeon 560X processor. The AMD seems to work a lot faster. I’ve also updated to 3.0.3 Photo AI.
Here are the logs, though, to look at.
Is the processing speed acceptable with the AMD Radeon graphics card selected?
Note that this graphics card is low performance compared to many new devices so slow processing may be expected, but it should not be significantly different from before.
Thanks. It’s still slower than expected, but I’ll live with it for now. Photo AI is a great program and use it often. I’ll have to check about the card, although on a MacBook Pro I doubt I can get it changed out for a faster processor.
