AI 2.0 slowness makes it hard to use

Using my MacBook Pro, with Radeon Pro 560X 4 GB
Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB. Since upgrading to 2.0 the processing time has tripled. I used to use Photo AI on most photos, but now I am hesitant to use it at all. When I have MANY photos to process the time it takes is prohibitive. Anyone else have this problem or a solution? Thanks,.

Thanks for reaching out. Please open Topaz Photo AI, go to the menu bar on the top and click the Help > Open Log Folder menu option. Attach the logs to your reply so I can check the contents.

It sounds like your installation may be missing model files, you can run the installer to try downloading the rest if you are missing any.

Lingyu,

Thanks for your reply. I’m attaching the logs as you requested. I hope I did it correctly! If not let me know.

Thanks for sending the logs. It looks like the processing is going as expected, but the processing times are up to 83 seconds.

We can try switching the AI Processor to see if using a different processor improves the performance.

Go to the Topaz Photo AI > Preferences > General > AI Processor menu and try testing the different options in the dropdown menu.

Let me know which option is working fastest.
