For some odd reason, every time I have updated my Topaz Model from 5.5, I always get an immidiate ERROR after downloading the AI models for my projects. Doesn’t matter what setting I use (as far as I know). The Ai models get downloaded, as far as I can tell, but as soon as the export process starts there is an immidiate error. I would love to be able to update my model, so help would be greatly appreciated. My log files are below.
System;
AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT
Processor AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X 32-Core Processor, 3693 Mhz, 32 Core(s), 64 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 256 GB
I don’t think the hardware is the issue.

For the meantime I have reverted back to 5.5 to get my work done. But I feel like my version is falling farther and farther behind with every update. I’ve been extremely happy with the performance exept for this persisted error.
Looks like this is a compatibility issue with the input file. Can you try converting your input using Handbrake and then try importing the converted version back into Video AI for processing?
-
Drag and drop your video to import it
-
I recommend going to the “dimensions” tab and under “resolution limit” > none

- I also recommend going to the “video” tab and under “framerate (FPS)” > Same as source

- Then click “start”
This will ensure that it retains the original resolution and frame rate with the converted file.
That said, we’ve been seeing an increase in these types of issues in the latest v7 release, so I’ve added your case to our ongoing internal ticket with the developers for further review.
