Adjusting DPI

When I tested Topaz I was able to adjust the DPI of an image. I just purchased Photo AI and I do not see where I can make that adjustment.

@glenn.robins There is no functionality to adjust the DPI of an image in Photo AI at the moment (that functionality is on its way). Did you happen to make those edits in Photoshop by any chance?

No, directly with the app. So what is the default DPI?

You can not adjust the dots per inch of an image because dots per inch refers to your output device, will say: your printer. Your image itself has pixels and those tell nothing about the size you get on paper!

The app should keep the metadata from the original file.

You can now select the units for dimensions. Under the Upscale model, click on the dropdown menu and it’ll give you the options of pixels, inches, or centimeters.

Only the pixels are valid here. The Inches and Centimeters are missleading because an image has pixels, no size, and those pixels do not tell anything about the size of the image until you PRINT it to paper, but even then you have to take into account the printing resolution of your printer to calculate the output size of your image. I would not recommend adding “data” to an image that has nothing to do with the image itself. I mean we could also add the birthday of the photographer to the image but it won’t tell anything about the image either. :eyes:
