Adjust Lighting v3.2.2 using more GPU & CPU than v3.2.1

When applying ‘Adjust lighting’ in v3.2.2 on Windows 11 64bit it now takes 10+ times longer than v3.2.1.

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Load Image
  2. Apply an ‘Adjust lighting’ control
  3. Watch how much longer the processing takes whilst observing task manger resources

File uploaded along with Nvidia details. Thxs.

Thanks for sending in that information.

I want to see if updating your GPU driver will resolve the problem, as there is a more up-to-date driver that has been released.

Please use the following link to update your driver:

After the update, let me know if you are still experiencing the problem.

Thanks John, as noted I’m using the Studio Drivers (not the Gaming Drivers) and am on the latest release of 561.09 which was installed prior to me updating to v3.2.2.

I ran into the issue doing my own standardized testing after upgrading Windows, NVIDIA and Topaz AI 3.3.2.

Specifically in the test I create a subject ‘Adjust Lighting’ task followed by a background ‘Adjust Lighting’ task (there are other steps before and after which are NOT slowed down) The photo batch I use is consistent set that I use specifically for testing. The image files are between 2.5 and 3.5mb in size.

Interestingly, after having run the batch a few times it seems to be processing faster each time. I’m working on quantifying this and checking the CPU GPU load and timing and will get back to you on the results. I’ll be working on this over the weekend.
