Regarding your request to leverage either the NPU or GPU, it’s a great suggestion! As NPUs continue to improve, they could offer a more efficient and power-saving alternative to GPUs for certain AI tasks, and offering the option to leverage either hardware would allow users to choose based on their system’s capabilities.
Currently, most AI applications, including those from Topaz Labs, are optimized for GPUs due to their higher performance. However, with the growing adoption of NPUs in client systems, it’s definitely an exciting area for future development.
I would recommend creating a separate post in the Ideas section to be reviewed by the development team for additional votes
