Currently on my Nvidia RTX 3080, H.264 4:2:2 and H.265 10-bit content is played back slowly and choppily under Windows. This could be fixed by using the CUDA cores on the GPU to have GPU acceleration of playback like in Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
The issue only happens under Windows and does not affect Mac.
You mention it does not happen on macOS. Are you sure CUDA is working on macOS? You would need to be running a very old version as CUDA and Nvidia are not supported by macOS.
I meant on Windows that it seems the original videos aren’t accelerated in any way leading to 10-bit 4:2:2 and H265 files being played in a choppy manner.
