Based on what the AI thinks is in or out of focus, the user could use a slider to adjust that threshold, and then the subject selection would adapt to the defined threshold.
You can adjust the parameters manually whilst editing the image in Photo AI. There is no one threshold you can apply to all images as it depends on the DOF of the image also.
