A single 336kb image upscaled 6x as a test… takes up to a minute to upscale on my Mac Studio M1 Ultra with 64 GB RAM, this used to take about 10 seconds.
I have used Gigapixel since the beginning, it has it’s ups and downs, this for me is a step backwards
I’m one of the users that would prefer local processing improvements and don’t care about all of the cloud add-ons. I know you need revenue streams, but the product I purchased was different and frankly, I preferred it the way it was.
You seem to be going the Adobe route of “more is better”. I am old, I can assure you that more is rarely better.
