I have exactly the same problems here and reported that for three times now. Meanwhile this errors concerns “Model Settings” and “Face Recovery”. Unfortunately they are not able, not willingly or even not uninterested to fix that. I work on a business base and would love to process my costomers image albums by a batch. But due to that bug the software runs unreliable and I have to process image by image. For that reason I currently don’t offer any services I would need this software to my customer. I will think long and hard about to pay Topaz again in the future!

Wünsche euch mehr Glück mit diesem Problem, als ich es bisher hatte! Aber wahrscheinlich kann auch hier nur finanzieller Druck was bewirken?!?
So I downgraded to 8.0.1 and had the same issue. Downgraded to 8.0.0 and the same again. Now I’m at 7.4.4 and no issues so far. It keeps running at automatic.
