Have you tried converting the input file into an mov or mp4 and bringing it into the app to see if that will process?

Same issue. Doesn’t matter the video type, any attempt at exporting will cause the spinning wheel of death. The app is totally unresponsive and crashes.

My installation is set to export files to the same folder as the source files, which are on an SMB drive. If this is truly an issue with SMB/writing to network drives, it needs to be fixed, as it is a pure regression.

This issue occurs on both 5.2.0 and 5.2.1, but when I rolled back to 5.1.4, it did not happen.

Kyle’s idea was a good one (converting the file to another format)- But it turns out that the issue seems to be networked source.
I have never had this issue in previous versions (and I am not discounting the idea that it could be something wrong within my sandbox) - But once I put the video files on the PC running Topaz, export works. If I am working with a file over the network from another PC - it imports fine, and I can render tests, etc. but trying to export will freeze topaz.

I’ve got the same error. Ever since upgrading to the latest version 5.2.1 the program won’t finish a job. It gets stuck at 99%. As I export to png files I can see that the last frames of the file are missing. I can copy the export folder to another ssd and “finish” the job with the old 2.6 version still installed on the same system (the model doesn’t matter as it is the end screen only, the old version works absolutely fine by the way).

My System specs: An up to date Win10 Pro, AMD Ryzen 5700x, 32 GB Ram, NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super 8 GB.

I don’t think that the issue stems from the files being on a network share. All my files are local to the pc on which TVAI is installed and running.

The dev team is looking at an issue with networked source files at the moment to try and see what changed in the latest release that has caused them to not work properly.

Try lowering the max memory % in the Preferences>Processing panel and see if the AI Processor has reverted back to Auto instead of being set to the GPU card you have in this system.

Here are the settings in Preferences>Processing upon loading the file in Topaz:

I set the AI Processor to my GPU and lowered the max memory.

I got the same error message as before, no change in anything.

Upon checking the “Processing” tab I saw that the AI Processor setting was back to Auto.

This is the current bug issue the team is trying to resolve for a patch update in the near future. They have been reviewing logs from various different system configurations to find what has caused the app to clear this setting and revert to Auto.
