4.0.9 failure to download models

4.0.9 on Mac Monterey
no problems beyond crashing with multiple tasks
first refused to load model of enhancement
tried another enhance model and that worked
now no models load
no models for any task load
contacted support providing logs and they blamed Apple !?!

reloaded app as ver 3 …but wouldn’t let me log in but models worked [with water mark]
as soon as I updated and could log in the models now refuse to work

Nothing has changed on my Mac

Julian, I never got the updated logs I asked for to try and help resolve the issue. Can you share them here or reply back to our convo?

To gather logs, please select Help > Logging > Get Logs for Support and attach the zip file to your reply.

Thank you.

I want to test and see if you manually go to the link below does it open and download the model?

model link

This is one of the models that is shown in the logs as not being able to be accessed from the server.

If you can open it manually through a browser than this could be a connection issue with the app being blocked.

Are you running any anti-virus or VPN connections that could be blocking the app? If so, turn them off for a test and try using the model manager in the app to download the models.

Let me know if that works, if it does you can copy that model into the models folder and than restart the app and it should be able to use it.

If that does not work, please send the updated logs for further review.

so an update and a fix [for now]
the file for models is within the application- you can find it in the preference - location of models
whilst you can inspect the the contents [click file icon] you cannot modify or copy files to it in macOS
Instead I created a new folder in user and the models did download

so a fix

hi Kyle
success in a round about way.
so Mac has contents protected so I could not copy the file across into the model folder [and took something thinking how even to find it - so went through preferences- model file location]
instead I created a models folder under user, copied the file across. Model download went smoothly [Proteus] = 6 models downloaded and the clip was processed
Also in model manager I started to download models- of the 150 interpolation models 2 were downloaded before an error!

I will keep you informed if I have any future problems but here is hoping and will update the community forum page explaining my fix of simply creating a model directory outside of the application package.
