3.2.2 Version Puts Random Color Box over Face

Version 3.2.0 worked fine. It took me several tries to get the two newer versions to install. Once installed, 3.2.2 goes through the motions and when finished, puts a square box of colored pixels over the face on my photo. I am on a Windows 10 PC. I have updated my graphics card drivers. I am hoping to attach my DXDiag info and a photo with the

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Open Image, choose Filter/Topaz Labs/Topaz Photo AI
  2. Wait for it to go through the analyzing.
  3. When it finishes. it gets the attached file that I hope gets to you.
  4. The square box of colored pixels over the face on my photo now happens at the end.

Could this be some Not Activated problem with my account?
I have till Nov. 17th of 2024 but when I click on the Account/Logout in the menu, it wants me to Activate or Buy or Free Trial. I click on Activate and it opens up a web browser and it says it is activated. But it still does not work. Keeps putting these colored boxes over my faces. Ughhh. Glitch in the SW. The 3.2.0 worked fine.

We’ve had a few reports of this being a problem with recent updates, and it is usually associated with the system needing to meet the Minimum System Requirements or associated with the GPU driver.

To investigate this problem better, we’ll need to examine your full system profile information. This will help us understand what might be causing this issue.

I would also like for you to try updating the GPU driver to ensure that you are on the latest updated driver for your card. You can do this by following the steps below:

  • Open your Device Manager

  • Go to Display adapters and double-click on your GPU. Then go to the Driver tab and Update the driver.

I gave you my System Info file in the first message with the photo. I dont know what you’re talking about with my father??

My DxDiag file is up there above.

I have an AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT and the drivers are up to date.

My apologies on the confusion of the reply. I must have mistaken my browser window with another troubleshooting ticket I was handling.

Can you try adjusting the AI Processor by going to Preferences > General and set the AI Processor to CPU then hit Apply?

I am changing that preference right now.
But since the update, my Photo AI 3 says TRIAL MODE.
I cant get it off that.

This 3.2.2 version also runs very, very, very slow. Taking 3-4 times longer to process one photo.

Ok, it still puts that colored square box over the face. Is it like a watermark on SW that is not activated or purchased?

You will need to activate your application by using your email associated with your Topaz Labs Account and password.

Your machine technically does not meet the Minimum System Requirements with only 4GB of VRAM when our Minimum is 6GB.

It would be recommended that you use the CPU as your AI Processor or you can revert to a previous version that is more stable for your machine. You can use the following links to download these installers for your review:

Ok, I have installed a much faster Graphics card. An XFX MERC 319 card with 16 GB and the AMD Radeon 7800XT processor. I don’t see the colored boxes anymore but it seems to run really, really SLOW on the processing of one photo now. I mean several minutes.
Any thoughts?
