Any version after v3.2.0 (including v3.5.0), when trying to use the Remove Object feature the program crashes when executing the removal (after selecting the object to be removed) by pressing the button “Remove”
@Akila
This 2013 Computer may have issues with the memory intensive Remove Tool, yes.
Can you show screenshot of what area you are trying to remove? It will help us see if you need to change your area selected to help the tool process.
Also, make sure you are on the latest driver of your NVIDIA card, and test all the AI Processor options, to see if one options goes through the processing: Edit > Preferences > General > AI Processor.
Any area on any photo will result the same, even the smallest item.
why on v3.2.0 it was fine and anything beyond causes the crash? can you check what code change was made between 3.20 and 3.2.1 (or maybe it was 3.2.2 that it started)?
Is your driver up to date and does issues occur on AI Processor CPU as well?
v3.2.1 and up had backend optimizations. It will be important to be on the latest NVIDIA Studio driver and test CPU to see if the remove just goes over what your GTX card can handle. Test this and let us know! it might be the best option for this 2013 computer.
Tested both. latest Nvidia driver (just installed it) and tested using only CPU and the results are the same.
it crash the program. any other activities on photo AI are working fine, it is only the remove object task that causes the issue.
I wonder what change was made to this particular module between 3.2.0 and 3.2.1.
