1.5.0 Custom preset not retaining frame interpolation AI Model

With 1.5, presets created with frame interpolation enabled do not retain the AI Model that was selected and defaults to Chronos Fast.

Set preset up, AI Model set to Apollo. “Create new” including preview and export settings. Choose source file, click preset button, all settings apply correctly, but the AI model is Chronos Fast. Results are the same regardless of selected AI Model and if preview and export settings are included.

Are you able to grab a screen recording of the behavior so we can create a bug report? We have tried reproducing this in 1.5.0 and saving presets is behaving as intended.

  • We recommend loom, it’s free and easy to use. Once your Loom recording is ready, you’ll be able to get a link with the video, please reply back with the link
  • Feel free to use any other preferred method and send the video file attached to your email replace. If the file is too large to attach, you can upload it here: Submit File to Dropbox

While recording I started doubting my own eyes at first when I was unable to reproduce it for the screencap. With further tinkering though, it appears that this only appears if Enhancement is enabled as well, and may only affect those of us with the persistent Starlight check bug. I made two presets, first with Enhancement and Interpolation enabled, second with only Interpolation. As you will see, AI model reverts to Chronos Fast if a preset with Enhancement is enabled and that Starlight screen pops up.

This is no longer an issue for me after updating to 1.6.0
